Summary of coal slag dryer
Coal slurry has high humidity and caking property. The traditional dryer wasn’t specific to its character, while the coal slurry dryer is installed with a unique mobile grid section flange, cleaning device and crush impact scatter device, with which the caked coal slurry can be dried after scattered. Thus, larger area of coal slime can reach the hot wind so as to increase the hot wind use ratio. The water in coal slurry can be decreased to under 12% after being dried, and the dried coal slurry can be directly used as fuel.
Application of coal slag dryer
The rotary dryer can be applied to desiccation of sticky filter cake materials like coal slime, brown coal, raw coal, clean coal, municipal sludge, clay, choline chloride, red mud and biological waste residue and so on.

Technological process of coal slag dryer
The coal slurry of certain viscidity is first disintegrated by scattering blender, then sent to belt feeder, then evenly to drying drum, in which the coal slurry is dewatered rapidly by stock guide in high-temperature area, then goes to shoveling plate with automatic cleaning structure, in which the material is scattered. Even if there are sticky materials, they will be cleaned by cleaning chain. At last, the materials are sent to out-feed area and come out from the out-feed end, then are sent out of the drum by the belt discharging machine. Thus the drying process is finished.
The structure of coal slag dryer and its operating principle:
The coal slurry dryer is mainly made up of heat source, scattering device, belt conveyor, feeder, rotary drum, belt discharging machine, induced draft fan, unloader and power distribution cabinet. Its operating principle is as the following: due to that the coal slurry is of certain viscidity, the coal slurry dryer is divided into a few working areas: first, feed area. The wet coal slurry enters into this area and receives hot wind, thus the moisture in which evaporates quickly. The material is shoveled by the shoveling plate of big lead angle, so it won’t become sticky. Then it is sent to the next working area, cleaning area. Here in cleaning area, the wet coal slurry is shoveled by the shovel plate to form a material curtain. When they fall down, they are easy to adhere to the drum wall; but there is a cleaning device in this area, which can properly clean the materials adhered to the wall and crush the material caking so as to enlarge the heat-exchange surface and improve the drying speed. Third, slant lifting plate area. Here the wet coal slurry has become loose and is with low moisture, and not sticky. After heat exchanging, the moisture in the material has reached the required rate. At last, the material goes to the out-feed area. In this area, there has no shovel plate in the drum. The materials roll and slide to the discharge gate. Thus, the whole drying process is finished.
